The Tennie Burton Museum in Lima has a new summer exhibit focused on the impact of the Civil War on the people of Lima\u2014the soldiers and their families who endured so much during the four long years of war. Learn the heartwarming story of two young men from Lima\u2019s Genesee College who organized their fellow students to form Company G of the 27th Regiment of the Union Army. Included are weapons, clothing, letters, diaries, photos, discharge and pension papers, original regimental rosters, and a complete inventory of those Civil War veterans buried in local cemeteries.
\nStep back in time and remember Lima\u2019s unique story.

The Museum is located at 1850 Rochester Street in Lima.
\nOpen every Sunday afternoon from 2 to 4 PM June until the end of September.
