The Tennie Burton Museum is open to the public every Sunday, June – September

We open the museum each year on Memorial Day.
The Tennie Burton Museum official opens for the 2018 Season on May 28th, Memorial Day.
We invite the public to visit us on that day. Bring your lawn chairs and watch the Memorial Day Parade from our front lawn or sidewalk. We will open our door at 9:30am and remain open until about noon. We will also be serving refreshments. After the parade, stop in at the museum and see some of Lima’s treasures from the past. Our new 2018 exhibit will honor the Lima Fire Department and Lee Shank’s 1941 Ford fire truck. The truck was restored by and is now owned by Nelson and Pat Thorp. The truck will be in the parade and on display at the Fire House the day of the parade. The truck has a very extensive and interesting history. The museum will have pictures of the truck and it history available for the public to view.

Memorial Day marks the beginning of our season and the museum will be open ever Sunday from 2:00pm to 4:00pm from June through September.
